Learning Resources

For information on curriculum-based remote learning beginning April 20, visit the Remote Learning Information page.

Introduction

Due to student absences directly connected to COVID-19 and in preparation for possible closures, our district staff has created learning resources that students may complete at home. We will be using digital tools that are familiar to students, families and staff in our district.

Our goal is to provide students and families with learning opportunities that can be used at home. These activities are not meant to replace daily classroom instruction and will not be graded. When students return to school, our teachers will continue to build on the learning that was occurring prior to absences or closures. We will continue to update and guidance throughout any closure.

Learning Resources directions

In these challenging times, the Lake Washington School District understands the importance of keeping students engaged in learning. The district is offering supports to our students and families. Below you will find a menu of Learning Resources for preschool, elementary and secondary students including special programs.

Please be advised that the resources listed on this page have not been formally approved by Lake Washington School District (“District”) for use. The District, under normal circumstances, has a lengthy process for approving the use of digital tools and applications in the classroom, but is not able to put these resources through the same standard approval process given the current COVID-19 mandatory school closure. The District is recommending these learning resources in order to provide more learning opportunities for its students while the school closure remains in effect. The District strongly suggests and advises that parents and/or guardians independently review these possible resources before allowing their student(s) to access the material to ensure they meet with their own family’s standards and expectations.  Finally, for students under the age of 13, parents and guardians should closely monitor students when they are working in an online environment. For students 13 and over, access to digital resources should be through District provided laptops.

Please go to your student’s grade level below to access a list of learning options.
