Happy Pi (π) Day – from Horace Mann Math Club

Horace Mann Elementary School is now home to a bustling Math Club, igniting a passion for numbers and problem-solving among its young scholars!

In their commitment to providing enriching educational experiences, and with the collaboration of two remarkable high school students from Tesla STEM High School, Ryan and Tyler, they have introduced Math Enrichment classes tailored for two distinct age groups: grades K-2 and grades 3-5. These classes are designed to not only reinforce foundational math skills but also to inspire creativity and critical thinking in students.

For the very first time at Horace Mann, students are gearing up to participate in the esteemed Math is Cool competition, in Washington state. With volunteers generously dedicating their time and expertise to mentor these eager students, Math club is confident to inspire a generation of problem-solvers, innovators and lifelong learners.

Let's celebrate the joy of mathematics on Pi Day and beyond!
